Easiest way to do that is with a good password manager. Yeah that email was hacked but it didnt have any important info other than guild wars 2 stuff like the verification and proof of purchase. I did have past interactions with support which is probably how they found my game serial number.
iirc you have to send them the account email address and cd-key. some time ago you also had to name at least one name of the characters on the account, but i think that isnt required anymore. idk if they can change the linked account email address if you don't remember it anymore since it's used to logg in. fingers crossed tho.

Support tried very hard to help people recover accounts. As Inculpatus wrote above, if the account's email was compromised, it's possible that someone else has the same details you have, so you'll have to find some other way to convince them the account is yours. For example, perhaps your bank still has a record of your payment.

Also, you may want to change your email password. I haven't changed my password on GW2 yet, but other games require email confirmation to change the address.
