I have an 18 450 SX-F with 87 hours on the clock. I change the oil and filter every 5-10 hours (with Motorex), change the filter every ride and check every bolt between 5-10 hours. Keep an eye on the spokes, sprocket bolts and chain. Other than that, you should be fine. I've owned pretty much every brand and I treat them all the same.

7Tktm. You were right to change the plug from a 7 as it is too hot. Obviously you set your jetting for altitude, temperature, surface and how you ride it. We have owned 125 KTMs for many years and while the manual jetting chart is pretty good, I consider they are always too lean on the main jet recommendation. I have a 2003 ktm 125 sx and it keeps fouling plugs like crazy! they only last about 5 hours and I am running the NGK iridium pugs in it. I have tried leaning it out and that didnt work it even got hot from me leaning it out just a little. It was burning crank case oil, but it is no long burning it since i richened it up a little. 5zs0D.
